Hamilton Police investigate two shootings Sunday night

First Published:

Hamilton Police say shots were fired in two separate incidents in Hamilton’s north end Sunday night.

Police say the two shootings are not connected.

The first was a drive-by shooting, which happened near John St. N and Burlington St. E around 6 p.m.

Police say a black Ford F150 with tinted windows pulled up to a parked vehicle and one of the people inside fired “multiple shots.”

The truck fled the area.

The shooting left several bullet holes on the driver side door and windows.

In the second incident, officers were called just before midnight after shots were fired into the front window of a home on Wentworth St. N.

A vehicle was heard leaving the scene but there is no description.

Two people were asleep in the home at the time and were not hurt.

Police say they are not cooperating with the investigation.
