Woman seriously injured after hit-and-run on King Street in St. Catharines

A pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run in St. Catharines Thursday night, sending a 20-year-old woman to hospital with serious injuries.

Police say it happened around 8 p.m. on King Street and the driver of the car did not stop after hitting the woman.

This incident happened just a block away from the other pedestrian collision at Church and Court streets earlier in the day.

Officers say there is no indication at this time that the incidents are related.

Police continue to investigate and anyone with information or dash cam footage are asked to contact them.
