Woman dead after Derry Road crash

Peel Regional Police are investigating a crash on Derry Road, west of Mavis Road, that has left one woman dead.

The single vehicle crash happened around 3:30 this morning. The vehicle hit a light pole with so much force that it split in two. Police say the victim is a 19 year old woman from Brampton.

Speed is a factor, but an autopsy will be done to see if alcohol or drugs played a role.
