Will province make good on Randle Reef pledge?

The health of Randle Reef in Hamilton Harbour – the second-most toxic hot spot in Canada – is an ongoing concern.

The province has promised to kick in $30 million dollars to help with the clean up. And with the election just around the corner, some people are hoping the offer will still stand once the ballots are counted.

While you can’t see it, somewhere below the water in Randle Reef is toxic sediment believed to have originated from years of steel production and other manufacturing processes.
