A sentencing hearing will begin on Monday in Woodstock for former nurse Elizabeth Wettlaufer who admitted to killing eight seniors.

Wettlaufer pleaded guilty to eight counts of first-degree murder, four counts of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

Family and friends of the 14 victims will be in attendance and read statements of how the crimes have impacted them.

The crown and her defense lawyer have suggested that Wettlaufer will serve her sentences concurrently.
