Waterdown’s Canada Day is finger licking good

In Waterdown this weekend it’s all about food and fun at the eighth annual Oh Canada Ribfest.

Fifty-thousand people are expected to visit Waterdown over the weekend.

Six ribbers will be competing for bragging rights and there’s also a full line-up of live bands, a family friendly fun zone and fireworks.

Over the past seven years $350,000 has been raised from the event. The money is re-directed back into the community and donated to other international initiatives.

Fireworks will take place on Saturday at dusk.
