Hamilton celebrates Canada Day

Bayfront Park has been the scene for one of the largest Canada Day celebrations in Hamilton.

Thousands of Hamiltonians spent their Canadaès 150th birthday aboard the majestic tall ships that sailed into Pier 8 on Friday. Tours of the Tall Ships were free all day.

Festival goers were also treated to aircraft flyovers and live music on the RBC Stage.

The festivities continued at Gage Park as thousands were also expected over the day.

The celebrations are far from over.

Bayfront Park will cap Canada Day with a fireworks show at 10 p.m.
