Watch: Ender’s Game

Based on Orson Scott Card’s novel by the same name, the sci-fi story is set in a futuristic world at war with an alien race known as The Formics. Humankind’s only hope of survival rests in the hands of Battle School commander, Colonel Graff (Harrison Ford) and his army of child soldiers, particularity Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield).

The first film adaptation of the award winning novel has a lot going for it, an epic story, wonderfully complex characters and a star studded cast  – Viola Davis, Ben Kingsley, Hailee Steinfeld and Abigail Breslin join previously mentioned Ford and Butterfield. However, it also has a huge, hyper critical fan base and a lot of social controversy surrounding Card. It will be interesting to see the fan reception of the film – director Gavin Hood hopes they’ll enjoy the visually dynamic film, you can check out our interview with him here.
