Two-vehicle crash in east Hamilton leaves one injured

A two-vehicle crash in Hamilton’s east end has left one person hospitalized on Friday.

Hamilton police responded to a motor vehicle collision at around 6:24 a.m. at the intersection of King Street East and Balsam Avenue North.

Officers tell CHCH News that they are not in a position to comment on the extent of those injuries at this time.

Investigators say as the investigation is in its early stages, they are unable to comment on the circumstances leading up to the collision or its cause.

King Street East is closed between Connaught Avenue North and Leinster Avenue South while police investigate the crash.

The closure is expected to remain in place for several hours, although an estimated reopening time is not yet available.
