Two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a pedestrian was struck near Nash and Queenston roads (Duane Worth/CHCH News).

Two people are in serious condition in hospital following a pedestrian collision in East Hamilton Monday afternoon.

According to Hamilton Emergency Services, the incident occurred near the intersection of Nash and Queenston roads.

Officials have confirmed the victims are a 70-year-old man and a teenage male. Both suffered serious injuries and were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

Queenston Road has been closed between Nash Road and Centennial Parkway while police are on scene.
