A tsunami warning has been cancelled


There had been a warning issued for parts of the Aleutian Islands of Alaska after a 7.1-magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Pacific Ocean.
Officials cancelled the warning early this morning after only a small wave was recorded in the remote community of Atka.
State emergency officials said some Atka residents had evacuated to higher ground when the all clear was given.
There were no injuries or damage reported.
