People in Niagara-on-the-Lake were without power from 9a.m. until around 1:30p.m.
The power outage is a result of a Hydro One transmission failure.
The blackout affected Niagara College and White Oakes, but both had back up generators that allowed them to operate under essential power.
The Niagara Outlet Collection and other retail operations in the area closed their doors while the power was out.
