Tour de Terra Cotta

Over 700 cyclists spent their civic holiday racing in Caledon Monday.
This year marked the 9th annual “Tour de Terra Cotta”. The race included 6 events for people of all levels ranging from an almost 9 kilometer youth race — to a 104-kilometer “Tour de France style” event.
“We’re very fortunate to have a fair number of teams, including CHCH supporting and sponsoring our event, they did a great job, youth participants that came out, and that’s what it’s all about. Getting the young cyclists out, and CHCH’s team was represented well in numbers.”
“It’s just the thrill of speed I guess, having not being in a car and all. Just fun competing, and speed is always a nice addition.”
Part of the event’s proceeds will go to Caledon’s Meals on Wheels program and Terra Cotta’s Community Centre restoration project.
