Thorold man arrested connected to human trafficking investigation
Peel regional police working with Halton police have arrested a man from Thorold connected to the trafficking of two women.
Police say they identified two women – who were unknown to each other – that alleged they had been sexually trafficked throughout the Golden Horseshoe earlier in October.
The women say someone exercised control over aspects of their lives while profiting financially from it.
Detectives say an investigation revealed the suspect was residing in the Niagara Region leading to their arrest.

Both Peel and Halton police executed two search warrants at homes in the Town of Thorold.
Investigators say as a result of the searches they seized a loaded firearm, large amounts of ammunition, and controlled substances meant for the purpose of trafficking.
Officers also seized the suspect’s car.
Police arrested 37-year-old Marcus Moses from Thorold and have charged him with multiple offences including trafficking in persons and possessing a restricted firearm.
Moses was held pending a bail hearing which he attended at a Brampton courthouse.
