Third suspect sought in murder of Caledon woman whose body was found in suitcase

Toronto police have arrested two men and issued a warrant for a third person in connection with the murder of a Caledon woman whose body was found inside a suitcase.

Police were called to reports of a “suspicious incident” near Keele St. and Hillary Ave. around 10:43 a.m. last Wednesday.

Officers discovered the remains of 41-year-old Varsha Gajula inside a suitcase in the area.

On Sunday, police arrested Andre Bartley, 35, and Christopher Daley, 57, both of Toronto.

They have been charged with accessory after the fact – homicide, and indignity to human remains.

They appeared virtually at Old City Hall over the weekend.

Police have also issued an arrest warrant for 37-year-old Carita Jackson, of Toronto, for second-degree murder.
