Ontario is reporting 694 new COVID-19 cases Monday and no new deaths related to the virus.

The data is based on more than 18,561 tests completed on the previous day.

The province says 17,767 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the last 24-hour period for a total of more than 20.7 million.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says nearly 82.9 per cent of Ontarians 12 and older have received at least one dose and 76.1 per cent have received both shots.

There are currently 160 patients in intensive care with COVID-related critical illness and 93 on ventilators.

Elliott noted not all hospitals report on weekends.

Of those in hospital, 230 are unvaccinated individuals, 22 are partially vaccinated and 36 are fully vaccinated.

Of the province’s 626 long-term care homes, at least six are in an outbreak including Clarion Nursing Home in Stoney Creek and Hampton Terrace Care Centre in Burlington.

An active COVID-19 outbreak indicates that the home has at least one lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 (in resident or staff) and the local public health unit or the home has declared an outbreak.
