Teenager charged in stabbing of another teen at Oakville park, fight arranged

A teenager has been charged in the stabbing of another teen at a park in Oakville on the weekend after the two arranged to fight.
On Dec. 14 around 4:30 p.m. Halton police were called to Memorial Park on Oak Park Boulevard for a report of a stabbing.
As a result of the altercation a 13-year-old boy from Oakville was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The stabbing suspect, age 15 and also from Oakville, was tracked down and arrested by police in the city the following day.
The accused and victim were known to each another and made plans to fight in the park.
The accused has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The victim has since been released from hospital.
