St. Catharines man culprit in 2 counts of armed robbery at Niagara banks

A St. Catharines man has been arrested for two armed robberies in the Niagara region since the end of November.

Isaiah Sharpe, 29, was arrested and charged in relation to robberies at a CIBC in Lincoln on Nov. 21 and a TD Canada Trust in St. Catharines on Dec. 9.

In both cases Sharpe was armed with a firearm and demanded and departed with cash from a bank teller.

Grimsby, St. Catharines and Niagara police and Hamilton police’s Break and Enter, Auto Theft and Robbery unit ‘BEAR” worked together in the investigation to identify the suspect.

Sharpe faces two counts of robbery and disguise with intent and possession of a firearm.
