Suspected wife beater surrenders to Police

A 41 year old Welland man, wanted on domestic abuse charges has turned himself in to Police.

Officers were called to a home on Deere Street in Welland Wednesday morning, after a woman had been assaulted and confined in an apartment for hours. A neighbour came to her rescue. She was treated at hospital. Thomas Young is charged with forcible confinement and assault.
