Students visit Hamilton Warplane museum
A handful of students were in for a history lesson today at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.
Students from Onondaga Brant Public School learned about the historical significance of the planes during World War II. The students were also given a science lesson on what helps an airplane get off the ground.
“It has a lot of the planes that Canadians flew in the war. And it has lots of facts about them. And it’s got 47 actual planes, and half of them actually fly.”
“Today we are learning about how the plane gets thrust, how it gets lift, drag, and all the elements that help the plane fly.”
Students were even able to get up close and personal with some of the museum’s 40 aircraft.
