Striking Hamilton water workers disrupt waste collection for some wards

The City of Hamilton warns there will be waste collection delays for those in Wards 1, 2, 12 and 13.
In a social media post Monday, the city says collection of waste, green bin and leaf and yard waste in those areas could be affected by the water workers’ labour disruption.
The city notes that if waste is not picked up by 6 p.m., leave it at the curb by 7 a.m. Wednesday and crew will pick it up.
Waste, green bin and leaf and yard waste collection is delayed today (June 30) in wards 1, 2, 12 & 13 due to the ongoing labour disruption involving the Hamilton Ontario Water Employees Association.
