Stoney Creek, Ont. fire causes $500k in damage: fire department

The Hamilton Fire Department says no one was injured in a house fire that caused around $500,000 in damage Tuesday afternoon in Stoney Creek.

The Deputy Fire Chief,  Trevor Haalstra, says the department responded to the fire at 497 Greenhill Ave. at around 1 p.m.

The fire department says none of the occupants or responding firefighters were injured in the blaze.

Haalstra says an electrical issue is believed to be the cause at this time.
