St Catharines homicide

The case of a 29 year old woman found dead in her St. Catharines home yesterday afternoon is now in the hands of homicide detectives. Jessica Scanlon’s body was found by a friend at the end of the school day.

Neighbours say Jessica had lived in the house at 13 Chetwood in Western Hill, with her boyfriend Jeremy Gough and her 2 young children. They say the couple moved into the home in the spring they were quiet, kept to themselves and that they split up a few weeks ago. One neighbour says she drove the kids to and from school everyday and that she saw Jessica’s vehicle gone just before nine yesterday morning and back in the driveway minutes later.

Police are asking the public to be vigilant.
