Six Nations police charge three people following search for wanted man in Ohsweken

Six Nations police have charged three people following the search of a wanted man in Ohsweken, which led to the seizure of stolen property, drugs and money.

Officers say they executed a search warrant at a home on Onondaga Road and Third Line Friday, allegedly related to stolen property involving a wanted man.

Investigators say the suspect had recently fled from police in a stolen motor vehicle on multiple occasions.

Detectives say they found and arrested the man during the search, and took two other people located there as well into custody without incident.

Police say the search of the home led to the seizure of:

  • A stolen motor vehicle;
  • Around 844 unprescribed Oxycodone pills;
  • Approximately $23,000 in Canadian currency;
  • Multiple firearms, including one replica firearm;
  • Bulk firearm ammunition and;
  • Pre-packaged alcohol with documentation pertaining to the sale of alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, police charged 22-year-old Brayden King of Ohsweken with multiple charges including those related to possessing unauthorized firearms, breaching probation and for possessing Oxycodone for the purposes of trafficking.

King was remanded into police custody.

Officers charged 64-year-old Shirley Montour of Ohsweken with multiple charges including possessing unauthorized firearms, possessing Oxycodone for the purposes of trafficking and for possessing stolen property over $5,000.

Investigators have also charged 35-year-old Ashley Montour of Ohsweken with possessing stolen property of over $5,000, and five charges of possessing an unauthorised firearm.

It is unknown the relationship between both Montour and Ashley. Both Montour and Ashley were released through a Form 10 Undertaking.
