Series of Burlington break-ins

Halton police are investigating after a series of overnight break-ins in Burlington.

They happened in the Spruce Avenue area, between Appleby Line and Walkers Line. Residents were either away or sleeping at the time. Police say that the thief targeted six houses, and tried to get inside by cutting through a screen.

There is no word on the total value of the stolen goods, but police say that during one of the break-ins, the suspect stole a car and carried away a television. Police say the suspect is still at large.
