The RCMP held a news conference late this afternoon, saying 3 people have been charged in connection with ISIS recruitment, one of whom is in custody. The trio are all facing charges of conspiring to participate or to contribute in an activity of a terrorist group.

One of the men charged is 20 year old John Maguire who was reported to have been killed while fighting along side ISIS in Syria. There had been reports he was killed in Kobani but today the RCMP said it had no evidence that he is dead and have charged him in absentia.

They have also arrested 23 year old Khadar Khalib, who is thought to be fighting abroad with the islamic state and 25 year old Aswo Peshdary has been arrested and is in police custody.
