Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Hamilton and Niagara on Tuesday.
The agency says that rainfall could amount to anywhere from 20 to 40 millimeters until Tuesday afternoon.
“Rain is expected to taper to showers from west to east this afternoon,” says Environment Canada.

The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb rainfall and heavy rain at times is expected.
Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
