Porter Airlines announced Tuesday that it will be launching nonstop daily flights between Hamilton’s international airport and Montreal this summer.
Starting June 22, two flights will leave John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport to Montreal Metropolitan Airport (the MET) on Porter’s 78-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft.
The new route follows after a new terminal officially opens at the MET June 15.
The flight schedule will include a flight departing daily at 6:15 a.m., to arrive at 7:35 a.m., and another departure at 3:50 p.m., expecting to arrive in Montreal at 5:10 p.m.
Return flights from Montreal at 3:55 p.m., to arrive in Hamilton at 5:25 p.m., and another flight leaving the MET at 6:55 p.m. to arrive at 8:25 p.m.
“Montreal is now within easy reach from Hamilton International, opening new possibilities for both corporate and leisure travellers to and from southern Ontario,” said Peter Tong, the Chief Executive Officer at Hamilton International Airport in a statement.
Earlier in January, Porter Airlines announced the addition of connections between Hamilton to St. John’s and Winnipeg starting May 15.
