Police standoff in Elliot Lake

A man is in custody after threatening to blow up an apartment complex in Elliot Lake.

Police had to evacuate the building and surrounding houses for 12 hours.

A nearby school was put on lockdown. Eventually, police entered the building and took the man into custody.

There’s no word on whether charges have been laid.
