Police investigate after body found in Hamilton Harbour

Hamilton police are investigating after a body was found in the harbour on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say that at around 12:42 p.m. officers were flagged down by a passerby who told them of a body floating in the water near 110 Harbour Front Drive.

Marine officers confirmed the discovery and the Coroner attended.

It is unclear what condition the body was found in.

Investigators are now working to determine the cause of death and circumstances surrounding it. Police say it is not deemed suspicious.
