Investigators said on March 4, at around 4:40 p.m., three masked males attended the front foyer of a bank on Highway 3.
One of them was allegedly brandishing a handgun, however they were unable to gain access to the bank due to security measures in place. They then exited and fled the scene.
As part of the investigation, officers identified a 14-year-old boy and arrested him Saturday with the help of Toronto and Peel police.
Detectives have withheld information regarding the identity of the boy in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The accused was held for a bail hearing Sunday at a St. Catharines courthouse.
The investigation remains ongoing, with two suspects still outstanding.
At the time, officers were looking for three men of around 20 years of age — two Black and one white male.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
