Police arrest man for second-degree murder after death in Lincoln’s Charles Daly Park

Niagara police, with the help of Peel and Toronto police, have arrested 50-year-old Davy Rocchetti in connection with the death of Larry Pearce in Lincoln.

Detectives say that at around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday they arrested Rocchetti for second-degree murder.

Rocchetti was wanted after an incident in Charles Daly Park on July 17 that left an 82-year-old retired St. Catharines firefighter dead.

The accused is being held in custody before a bail hearing on Thursday in St. Catharines.
