Brantford police are looking to identify a man who fled from officers on an off-road motorcycle on Tuesday.

Officers say on Tuesday at around 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of West Street and Morton Avenue a blue Yamaha dirt bike fled from police.

Police say the bike was driving in traffic despite the motorcycle not being plated or designed for highway use, making its operation illegal.

Investigators are hoping to get information about the identity of the person operating the motorcycle, dash cam video from the area at the time and any witness accounts.

This investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Const. Jeff Birnie of the Brantford Traffic Unit at 519-756-0113 ext. 2823 or at jbirnie@police.brantford.on.ca.
