A Niagara Falls man is facing dozens of charges in connection with a car dealership theft and 19 other incidents involving police.

Officers say 35-year-old Jeremy Boyer and another suspect allegedly stole two trailers from a car dealership parking lot in Welland during the overnight hours of June 17.

Since then, Niagara police say Boyer has been involved in 19 police-related incidents and “actively evading arrest while continuing to engage in criminal activity.”

Investigators say Boyer intentionally struck police vehicles — causing significant damage — while officers tried to arrest him on four occasions. No one was injured.

Police finally found Boyer in an attic in Crystal Beach on Monday. He was arrested and charged with 38 charges, including assault a peace officer with a weapon and theft of a motor vehicle.

Boyer attended a bail hearing Tuesday at a St. Catharines courthouse.

The investigation continues and officers say they expect to lay more charges.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact police at 905-688-4111, dial option 3, ext. 1003306, or Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477.
