Plane lands in Oakville field

It was a dramatic emergency landing in Oakville Saturday morning.

A plane landed in a field near Dundas Street West and Colonel William Parkway at around 9:15 a.m.

The pilot was the only person on board, and didn’t suffer any injuries.

It still hasn’t been determined how the engine failed.

Air traffic control company Nav Canada has decided not to investigate and is not commenting on the incident.

Halton police say officers stood by for a while to make sure the scene was safe, but will not investigate further.
