Webster’s Falls stairs closing

Hamilton is called the “city of waterfalls.” but now it’s a little harder to get to one of them.

The stairs at Webster’s Falls will be closed as of Saturday because of safety concerns.

The Hamilton Conservation Authority says the stairs are no longer adequate to handle the increased number of visitors to the area.

The older stairs lead to the base of the Webster’s Falls and the bottom of Spencer Gorge.

There are a number of viewing platforms, so you can still check out the falls from above.
