Sentencing for Oscar Pistorius will begin on Monday in a South African courtroom.

It is expected to involve several days of legal argument and testimony.

The former Olympic track star was convicted of culpable homicide for killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day in 2013.

The sentence for a conviction for culpable homicide or negligent killing is at the judge’s discretion and can range from a suspended sentence and a fine to up to 15 years in prison.
