A pedestrian was struck and killed on the 427 late Saturday afternoon. It happened in the northbound lanes of the highway in Etobicoke.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says it was a man, believed to be around 40 years old. Police don’t know why the man was on the highway. Investigations are ongoing.
