OPP seek public’s help to identify suspect in Simcoe assault

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for the public’s help in identifying an individual in connection with an assault investigation in Simcoe.

On Tuesday at around 12:35 p.m., OPP responded to a report of an assault at a location on Colborne Street South in Norfolk County.

Investigators say they determined that an interaction between two individuals in the area escalated when one person assaulted the other. No injuries were reported.

Officers describe the suspect as a white man with a tattoo on his left arm.

OPP say at the time of the incident, he was wearing a grey Under Armour T-shirt, blue shorts and a blue baseball cap. The accused then left the area on foot.
