OPP safety blitz underway

An Ontario wide safety blitz is underway for truck drivers.

OPP officers and inspectors are targeting aggressive commercial truck drivers and unsafe trucks on the province’s highways.

The blitz will last until 6am Friday.

During a similar blitz last year, nearly 1,800 trucks were pulled over, with 159 drivers charged with speeding alone.
