Ontario Provincial Police charged a 17-year-old from Brantford in connection with a recent assault investigation in Turkey Point.
On Friday at around 3:48 p.m., officers responded to a reported assault at a business on Cedar Drive in Turkey Point.
OPP say the investigation determined that an individual attended the business and became involved in an interaction with an employee.
Investigators say during the encounter, the employee was allegedly assaulted and sustained minor injuries. The suspect then fled the area on foot.
Officers located the individual nearby and took them into custody. As a result, the accused was charged with assault and resisting a peace officer.
The suspect, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
