OPP blitz on the horizon

“Heads up” and keep your hands on the wheel are the messages from Burlington OPP.

The detachment says it already has unmarked cars out on the roads ahead of a provincial campaign looking to catch drivers who hold their cellphones and entertainment devices.

The province-wide blitz runs from February 13th to the 19th.

A conviction of holding a hand-held device carries a fine of $155 dollars.

Burlington OPP charged 105 drivers for the offense last month.
