Ontario to require health & education workers to be vaccinated or take regular tests

Starting September 7th, healthcare and education workers in Ontario will be required to be vaccinated or take regular tests as part of the province’s response to the highly contagious Delta variant.

The new COVID-19 immunization policy applies to healthcare staff, ambulance services, education workers, childcare workers, congregate care settings such as residential and community services for adults and community-based services providers for children with special needs and post-secondary institutions.

People who don’t provide proof of vaccination will be tested regularly.

Ontario will also remain in Step 3 of its re-opening plan.
