Ontario is reporting 326 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday and no new deaths related to the virus.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says 231 of today’s reported cases are in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 95 are in fully vaccinated individuals.

The province says a total of more than 22.4 million vaccine doses have been administered.

Elliott says nearly 87.9 per cent of Ontarians aged 12 and older have received one dose and 83.9 per cent have two doses.

There are 138 people in intensive care units due to COVID-19. Of those in hospital, 16 are fully vaccinated, six are partially vaccinated, 71 are unvaccinated, and the remaining 45 have an unknown vaccination status.

Of the province’s 626 long-term care homes, at least five are in an outbreak including Heidehof Long Term Care Home in St. Catharines, Maple Park Lodge in Fort Eerie and Fairview Lodge in Whitby.

An active COVID-19 outbreak indicates that the home has at least one lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 (in resident or staff) and the local public health unit or the home has declared an outbreak.
