Ontario allows cannabis delivery, curbside pick-up during COVID-19

Ontario is now allowing cannabis delivery and curbside pick up from its authorized stores during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The stores were recently taken off the essential businesses list.
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) says the temporary measure is the result of an emergency order to help fight against the illegal cannabis market and will continue for the next 14 days, although an extension is possible.
Authorized cannabis stores can now sell, deliver and offer curbside pick-up of up to 30 grams of marijuana between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Customers have to pay in advance by phone or online. When they arrive at the store for pick up, a staff member will bring out the order, which must be in its original packaging, to the customer waiting in an area.
The transaction will be captured by the store’s security cameras.
Retailers must continue to comply with all laws and regulations ensuring cannabis is not sold or delivered to anyone under 19 or who appears to be intoxicated.
