One man killed in multi-vehicle crash outside Simcoe, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police say a 64-year-old man has died following a multi-vehicle crash in Norfolk County Friday afternoon.

At approximately 3:14 p.m., authorities responded to a collision involving two sport utility vehicles (SUV), a cargo van and a transport truck on Highway 24 just outside of Simcoe, Ont.

As a result of the collision, the 64-year-old driver of the van sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of one of the SUVs was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the second SUV and the driver of the transport truck were not injured.

Highway 24 between Windham Road 12 and Thirteenth Street West, and Concession 13 Townsend between Highway 24 and Cloet Road were closed for several hours during the investigation.
