OPP investigating hit-and-run in Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation

Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run in Mississaugas of the Credit, First Nation territory.

Officers say on Thursday at approximately 11:20 a.m., officers responded to a hit-and-run collision near the intersection of Mississauga Road and New Credit Road.

Investigators determined that an individual was walking westbound on the northside shoulder of the road when they were struck from behind.

According to authorities, the vehicle was last seen travelling northbound on New Credit Road. It is described as a white coloured pick-up truck with a light bar on the roof.

CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed.

Residents in the area are being asked to review their surveillance footage from that time and contact the OPP if anything was captured that could assist the investigation.
