The province’s Special Investigations Unit has cleared a Hamilton officer after a woman was hurt in a crash on April 1st.
It happened when police closed the Lincoln Alexander Parkway after a 39 year old man jumped off a highway overpass.
A 57-year old woman smashed into one of the cruisers blocking traffic on the Linc.
Both the officer and the woman were taken to hospital.
The SIU says the lights on the cruiser were flashing and there are no grounds to charge the officer.
The SIU also cleared a second officer who spent hours trying to discourage the man from committing suicide.
