SIU clears police at rollover

A second Hamilton officer was also recently cleared by the SIU, after a woman was killed in a rollover in Flamborough on Good Friday.

38 year old Bibi Shazeena Ally of Cambridge was killed, when her car ran the stop sign at the intersection of Middletown Road just north of Concession Five West.

It then went into a ditch and hit a tree.

The officer was blocking traffic for a bike race.

The SIU says two officers, who were in uniform and wearing fluorescent yellow jackets, signaled for the woman to stop; but says she was speeding and accelerated through the intersection.
