Niagara Police shut down chop shop in West Lincoln, recover $174K in stolen goods

A man has been charged after Niagara police located and seized stolen vehicles in West Lincoln, which led to the discovery and shutdown of a local chop shop operation.

Officers say they went to an address on Grimsby Road near Concession 7 on Aug. 29, 2026, following information that a stolen pick-up truck and trailer were being tracked to the property.

Investigators say they located a stolen 2024 Dodge Ram pickup truck on the rural property and arrested a 38-year-old man who was at the scene.

Search warrants executed at the property led detectives to discover that the property was being used as a motor vehicle dismantling operation.

Officers working with the Hamilton Police Service Auto-Theft Unit and the Équité Association executed a search warrant, and recovered:

• two Dodge Ram pickup trucks;
• two dismantled pickup trucks;
• a Cat backhoe and;
• a large quantity of packaged car parts.

The value of the recovered stolen goods is estimated to be $174,000.

Police have charged Jason Neave of West Lincoln with four counts of possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Neave was released on a Form 10 Undertaking with a future court date.
